About Bridgeword

Bridgeword is a small publication for adults who are learning a language alongside work and family. We write each post in English, German and Spanish, so you can read it in the language you know best, or in the one you are learning.

What we write about

We write about methods that work for busy adults: how memory holds on to new words, how to read and listen before you feel ready, and how to start speaking with real people. We test every method on ourselves first. When something did not work for us, we say so.

Who writes it

Three editors, one for each language. Hannah Price edits the English edition. Clara Henning edits the German one. Mateo Ruiz edits the Spanish one. Each post is written by one of us and translated by the other two, who check that every example still works in their language.
