Content decay

Content decay is the slow loss of search clicks a post suffers as its facts age, newer pages overtake it, or the question behind it changes. It shows as a gentle decline over months, not a sudden drop. A planned refresh usually wins the clicks back faster than a new post would earn them. Our content refresh playbook explains how to spot it.
