Build log
The SerpDad build log: we plan serpdad.com with SerpDad, in public.
This build log is where we publish every SerpDad run on our own site: what went in, what it cost, what the tool decided and what a person decided. Later, it is where we report what Search Console shows, without taking credit for it.
No customers yet, so this is our proof. Check it, and tell us where it is wrong.
Why a build log. Don't trust us. Inspect us.
Most SEO tools prove themselves with other people's results. We don't have customers yet, so we use the one site we can show in full: serpdad.com.
Each entry is one run or one check-in. It lists the keywords that went in, the cost estimate and the real bill, the time it took, every type of decision, and what we would do differently.
The plan in these entries is ours and is still being built. We write the pages, we publish them, and we report the numbers as they come.
The entries. Every run on serpdad.com.
| Entry | What happened | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Run 2 (Oct 2026) | 1,797 keywords became 791 planned pages, 0 competing, for $13.10 in provider fees in 1h22m. | Published |
How we report results. Numbers, without the credit.
When planned pages start earning impressions, we will publish Search Console numbers in a fixed format:
We will never write "SerpDad grew traffic by 400%". Rankings move for many reasons: the pages, the links, the market, Google's own updates. A tool that claims the credit is guessing. Not claiming it is one of our four refusals.
- Inputs: the keywords and the pages we already had
- Cost: the estimate shown before the run, and the real bill
- Decisions: what the SERP settled, and what a person settled
- Results: Search Console numbers, dated, with no causal claims
- Changes: what we would do differently next time
