Free tools
Four free checks. Each one answered for a real keyword before you type.
Before you plan a thousand keywords, check one. Can two keywords share a page? Does Google show an AI Overview? Which page type ranks? What will a run cost? Pick a question and you see a real answer from our own plan for serpdad.com, then the tool that runs it on yours.
The checkers need no account and no keys. SerpDad pays for them, with a daily limit per network.

The words ask for one thing, the top 10 shows another. Compare "keyword clustering": 6 of 9 ranking pages are how-to guides. Intent checker
The checker reads the AI Overview and the organic top 10 from the same Google US page, and puts each cited page's rank next to it. A cited page outside the top 10 gets no rank, and that gap is the point. We have not published a stored check of our own yet, so the AI Overview checker page shows a labelled sample instead.
Estimated $4.32 to $14.77 before the run. Run cost calculator
Pick the right check. One question each.
Each tool answers one question for one keyword, or one pair. The line under each says what it reads, what it costs you and what asks for your email.
| Your question | The tool | What it reads | Free limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Can these two keywords share one page? | SERP overlap checker | Both Google US top 10s, compared URL by URL | 20 checks a day per network. Verdict and 3 results each before email |
| Which page type does Google rank for this keyword? | Intent checker | The top 10 in one of 23 countries, each result labelled | 20 a day per network. The count and 3 results before email |
| Is there an AI Overview, and who does it cite? | AI Overview checker | One Google US results page: the overview and the organic top 10 | 20 a day per network. Yes or no and 3 citations before email |
| What will a run of my list cost? | Run cost calculator | Nothing. It runs in your browser on our Run 2 rates | No limit, no email |
Not toy versions. Each check is one rule the page plan applies to a whole list.
The free tools apply the same rules a SerpDad plan uses, to one keyword or one pair at a time. So the answer you get here is the answer a plan would give for that keyword, and a plan is the same check run on every keyword you import.
| Tool | The rule it uses | Where a plan applies it |
|---|---|---|
| SERP overlap checker | 3 or more shared top 10 URLs means one page, on URLs cleaned of scheme, www and tracking tags | Every pair of keywords in the plan. Ties go to the review queue. Page plan |
| Intent checker | Each result labelled List, How-to, Comparison or Landing; the most common type wins, a tie says so | The format of every planned page, which shapes its brief. Briefs |
| AI Overview checker | Citations matched to organic ranks on the same cleaned URLs | Every focus keyword, read weekly from stored results. AI visibility |
| Run cost calculator | Each provider line priced from what drove it in Run 2 | The approve screen before every run, on your own keys. Your keys |
Who pays for the checks.
We do. The three checkers run on SerpDad's own DataForSEO and AI accounts, never on your keys and never on a customer's. That costs real money for every keyword we have not seen before, so each tool has three brakes: a limit per network a day, a cap on fresh checks per minute across everyone, and a daily spend cap.
A keyword the free tools already fetched recently costs nothing, so it keeps working past those limits. Checks never read a customer's results, so no answer can reveal what SerpDad customers research.
The email step is the trade. The short answer is always free. The full lists ask for your email, with consent you can withdraw at any time.
