Solutions / Client reporting
Agency client reporting, minus the chart pack. A monthly report that says what to fix next.
Agency client reporting often means 30 slides of charts and one question the client still asks at the end: so what happens next? SerpDad builds each client's monthly report from their own Search Console data and the receipts behind their page plan. It opens with the month in three lines, shows what moved with the math, and lists the pages to fix next. Your agency checks it and sends it.
Your first plan is free up to 1,000 keywords. No card needed.
Before you read on. Is this you?
- You send a monthly SEO report to several clients.
- Each report gets stitched together from three tools and a spreadsheet.
- Clients skim the charts and ask what you will do next.
- A client asked whether your work caused a change, and the honest answer was awkward.
- Your reports credit the agency for every rise and blame Google for every drop.
Probably not a fit if you need PDF exports, a white label or client logins. Reports export as Markdown. There is no PDF export, no white label and no client portal.
Three reporting jobs, and how SerpDad handles agency client reporting.
1. Report only what really moved
Measure compares each planned page's last 28 days with the 28 before, and with 3 months ago. A page counts as moved only when its average position changed by more than 3 positions or 8%, whichever is larger. Smaller changes read No change. New pages read Too new. Pages with fewer than 10 impressions are left out.
Each row carries clicks, impressions, position, a 12-week sparkline and a receipt with the math. The report says what moved and by how much. It never claims SerpDad, or your agency, caused it. Clients notice that.
2. Tell the client what to fix next
The report can carry the content audit: quick wins, striking distance pages, pages to rework, decay to refresh and pages to prune, each with the rows that put it there. That section is the plan for next month, written from the client's own data.
Next actions gathers the same work across every client, grouped as Decide, Plan and write, and Improve, each with a reason and a receipt. Close calls waiting in the review queue are the decisions to put to the client.
3. Prepare every client's report on the same day
The "Send each client a monthly report" job prepares a report for every client you pick, on the day of the month you choose, the 1st by default. It gives a person a task to check each one. Your agency sends it.
Want the plan refreshed too? The Agency monthly client report workflow re-plans the stored keywords, reads Search Console and builds the report from the stored receipts. Building the report itself fetches nothing and costs nothing.
What goes in it. The report, section by section.
| Section | What the client learns |
|---|---|
| The month, in three lines | Whether to read the rest |
| Territory scoreboard by hub | How each topic area is doing |
| What moved, with the math | Which planned pages really moved, and by how much |
| Rank tracking | Positions for the tracked focus keywords |
| Content audit | What to fix next, and why |
| AI visibility | Which AI Overviews and AI Mode answers cite the site |
| Links | The state of the site's links |
| Work shipped | What the agency did this month |
| Receipts appendix | The evidence behind every claim above |
Not ready for a tool? Start with the free template.
The free monthly SEO report template has nine sections, a filled example and a guide to writing each one. It works with any data source. Fill it by hand for a month and see whether clients read further.
When filling it in starts eating your first week of every month, SerpDad builds the same kind of report from each client's data and receipts.

What goes in the monthly client report?
You pick the sections: the month in three lines, a territory scoreboard by hub, what moved with the math, rank tracking, content audit, AI visibility, links, work shipped and a receipts appendix.
Can I export the report as a PDF?
No. Reports export as Markdown, so you can paste them into your own document or template before you send them. There is no PDF export.
Does the report say our work caused the change?
No. It reports what moved and by how much, from the client's own Search Console data. It never claims SerpDad or your agency caused a change.
What does a report cost to build?
Nothing. Building a report fetches nothing. Provider fees only come from optional work around it, such as rank checks, AI Mode checks or re-running the plan, and each shows an estimate first.
Can reports go out on a schedule?
Yes. The "Send each client a monthly report" job prepares a report for each client on the day of the month you pick and gives a person a task to check it. Your agency sends it.
Can the report carry our agency brand?
There is no white label and no client login. Because the report is Markdown, you can drop it into your own branded template.
