Product / Write / Content briefs
A content brief generator that builds each brief from the page's own top 10.
Most content brief generators start from one keyword. SerpDad starts from the page: every keyword your plan gave it, the ten results Google shows for its focus keyword, and the claims a writer can use, each with a source a person ticks after checking it.
Your first plan includes briefs for the top 5 pages. No card needed.
Why briefs get ignored. The writer can tell when nobody looked at the SERP.
A word count from nowhere
The brief says 2,000 words. The top 10 averages 900. The writer pads, and the page reads like it.
Facts the writer has to find
The brief lists topics, not claims. The writer searches for numbers, picks the first one that fits and nobody checks it.
One keyword, two pages
The brief covers one keyword while another page on your site already targets its twin. You find out in Search Console.
How the brief is built. From a planned page to an export a writer can trust.
Start from the planned page, not a keyword
The page plan has already decided which keywords belong together and which page owns them. The brief covers all of them, focus keyword first.
Read the page's top 10
SerpDad reads the results for the focus keyword and every keyword on the page: what they cover, how long they run, how they are structured and what nobody covers.
Attach a source to every claim
Each factual claim comes with its source link and an unticked box. A person reads the passage and ticks it. Quotes are refused without a public source.
Export when nothing is left
A brief exports as Markdown or HTML when every claim is checked and every subtopic is planned or dismissed. The file ends with a receipts appendix.
Inside an AI content brief from SerpDad. What the writer gets.
| Part | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Angle | What this page can own because the top results do not have it |
| Outline | Headings in order, each with a word budget from the median length of the top 10 |
| SERP gap | Subtopics the ranking pages cover, and what nobody ranking covers. You plan or dismiss each one. |
| Terms and entities | Terms to mention with counts, and the named things the ranking pages share |
| Questions | What searchers ask, grouped by the kind of answer each needs |
| The answer Google shows now | The featured snippet or AI Overview, when there is one, as the bar to beat |
| Claims and sources | Each factual claim with its source link and a box a person ticks |
| Internal link plan | Which related pages to link to, the anchor for each, why it fits and where |

What it won't do. It never writes the article inside the brief.
A brief that drifts into a draft is hard to check and easy to paste. SerpDad keeps the two apart. The brief builder plans the page and collects sourced claims. It never invents a fact to fill a section, and it never writes the article.
Drafting is a separate step, and it can only use what the brief holds. See sourced drafts.
Brief spending is yours to control: automatic briefs per run, briefs by hand per day, and an approval line above which an Owner or Admin signs off on the cost. In our Run 2, briefs cost $0.18 in AI provider fees.

How is a SerpDad brief different from a typical AI content brief?
It is built from the page's own top 10 and every keyword on that page, and each claim carries a source a person ticks after checking it. The brief builder never writes the article.
What does a brief contain?
An angle, an outline with word budgets, material per section, the SERP gap, terms and entities, the structure of the ranking pages, questions, the answer Google shows now, claims with sources, quotes, a media plan, an internal link plan and the keywords.
When can I export a brief?
When it is Ready, every claim is checked and coverage is 100%, meaning every subtopic is planned or dismissed. The Markdown or HTML file ends with a receipts appendix.
How many briefs do I get free?
Your first plan includes briefs for the top 5 pages by search volume. After that, briefs run on your own AI provider key, and each button shows its estimated cost.
Can I control brief spending?
Yes. Owners and Admins set automatic briefs per run, briefs by hand per day and secondary keywords per page. Above your approval line, an Owner or Admin approves.
Is there a free template?
Yes. The content brief template has the same parts in a file you can fill by hand, with a filled example from our own plan.
