Free tools / Run cost calculator
Run cost calculator. Keywords in, provider fees out.
Type how many keywords you want to plan. The run cost calculator applies the rates from our own run on serpdad.com, where 1,797 keywords cost $13.10, and shows what DataForSEO and your AI provider would bill you. No account, no email.
A planning figure. SerpDad shows its own estimate before every run.
The calculator. What would your run cost?
It starts with our Run 2 numbers, so the total reads $13.10. Change any field and the lines update.
| Line | Billed by | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| SERP fetch | DataForSEO | |
| Keyword data | DataForSEO | |
| Page classification | Your AI provider | |
| Briefs | Your AI provider |
Plus the SerpDad plan: $15 a month for the first 30 workspaces.
The calculator runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Each line uses one rate from our run. Keyword data is the big one: it was about 80% of our bill, because it includes the secondary keywords SerpDad adds to every standalone page. Turn them off and a run costs a fraction as much.
Reused results cost nothing. If you planned these keywords in the last 30 days, put that number in the second field.

Ready-made numbers. Provider fees at five list sizes.
Fresh results for every keyword, secondary keywords on and 5 briefs. The last column turns secondary keywords off.
| Keywords | SERP fetch | Keyword data | Classification | 5 briefs | Total | Without secondary keywords |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | $0.30 | $2.90 | $0.47 | $0.18 | $3.85 | $0.98 |
| 1,000 | $0.60 | $5.80 | $0.93 | $0.18 | $7.51 | $1.77 |
| 5,000 | $3.00 | $29.00 | $4.65 | $0.18 | $36.83 | $8.13 |
| 20,000 | $12.00 | $116.00 | $18.60 | $0.18 | $146.78 | $31.98 |
| 200,000 | $120.00 | $1,160.00 | $186.00 | $0.18 | $1,466.18 | $318.18 |
Reality check: our estimate before Run 2 was $4.32 to $14.77. The run cost $13.10. The range is wide because the classification and brief lines depend on how many pages the plan finds, which nobody knows until it runs.
The formula. How the calculator adds it up.
Provider fees = SERP fetch + keyword data + classification + briefs, each line rounded to the cent, as a bill would be.
- SERP fetch: keywords not already fetched, times $0.60 per 1,000. Priority queue: $1.20 per 1,000.
- Keyword data: keywords times $5.80 per 1,000. That is $0.06 for search volume and $5.74 for secondary keywords. Secondary keywords off: $0.06 per 1,000.
- Classification: keywords times $0.93 per 1,000.
- Briefs: $0.036 each.
Every rate comes from dividing a line of our Run 2 bill by the keywords behind it. Feed the formula 1,797 keywords with 408 reused and 5 briefs, and it returns $13.10.
| Line | Run 2 actual | What moves it |
|---|---|---|
| SERP fetch | $0.83 | How many results you can reuse, and the queue you pick |
| Keyword data | $10.42 | How many standalone pages the plan finds, and the secondary keywords setting |
| Page classification | $1.67 | Your AI model. Our docs list $0.75 to $5.00 per 1,000 keywords. |
| Briefs | $0.18 | How many briefs you ask for, and your AI model |
| Total | $13.10 | Run time: 1 hour 22 minutes |
Whose prices these are. Your providers bill you. SerpDad asks first.
The prices are theirs
Every line is a DataForSEO or AI provider price, billed to you on your own keys. SerpDad never resells provider usage and adds no markup.
An estimate before every run
SerpDad shows its own estimate on your accounts before anything is fetched. Nothing runs until a person approves it.
Limits you set
A monthly spend cap, an owner approval line for big runs, and a pause if your DataForSEO balance drops below $2.00.
Plus one plan. The SerpDad price, on top of the fees.
SerpDad charges one plan per workspace per month. The price depends on when your workspace first pays, and it stays locked for life while you keep paying. No keyword limit beyond 200,000 per plan, no project or member limits.
Your first plan is free up to 1,000 keywords, with briefs for the top 5 pages and no card. The provider fees for that run are still yours: about $7.51 at our rates.
| Band | Who | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | The first 30 paying workspaces | $15 |
| 2 | The next 70 | $25 |
| 3 | After the first 100 | $35 |
Spend less. Four ways to shrink the bill.
Reuse what you fetched
Results from the last 30 days are reused at no cost, and re-runs of stored keywords are free on SerpDad.
Turn off secondary keywords
The biggest line in our run. Turn it off before a run if you only need the page plan.
Pick a cheaper AI model
Classification and briefs run on your AI provider. A smaller model costs less per page.
Clean the list first
Junk keywords are skipped at import and cost nothing. Duplicates and off-topic terms still cost a fetch.

How close is the calculator to what I will pay?
It applies the rates from one real run: 1,797 keywords on serpdad.com that cost $13.10. Your DataForSEO prices, your AI model and the number of pages your plan finds will move the total. Treat it as a planning figure. The estimate SerpDad shows before your run, on your own accounts, is the number to trust.
Who bills me for these costs?
DataForSEO and your AI provider bill you directly, on your own keys and accounts. These fees never appear on a SerpDad invoice. SerpDad charges only the monthly plan, and it never resells provider usage or adds a markup.
Why is keyword data the biggest line?
Keyword data covers search volumes and the secondary keywords SerpDad adds to each standalone page, 20 per page by default. In our run it was $10.42 of the $13.10. It grows with the number of pages the plan finds, and you can turn secondary keywords off before a run.
Does a second run cost the same again?
No. Results fetched in your workspace in the last 30 days are reused at no provider cost, and re-runs of stored keywords are free on SerpDad. Our run reused 408 results from cache. You can turn on refresh if you want every keyword fetched again.
What does the free plan cost me?
The plan itself is free for your first run, up to 1,000 keywords, with briefs for the top 5 pages and no card. You still use your own provider keys, so the provider fees for that run are yours. At our rates, 1,000 keywords comes to about $7.51.
Can a run spend more than I expect?
SerpDad shows an estimate before every run and fetches nothing until a person approves it. A monthly spend cap stops runs that would pass it, runs above the owner approval line wait for an Owner or Admin, and a run pauses if your DataForSEO balance drops below $2.00.
Now you know the cost.
Run 1,000 keywords on the free plan.
Your first plan is free up to 1,000 keywords, with briefs for the top 5 pages. No card needed.
