Product / Improve / Content audit

A content audit tool that sorts every page, from quick win to prune.

SerpDad's content audit tool reads your Search Console data and puts every page into one bucket by a plain rule: prune, decay, quick win, striking distance or rework, with Monitor and Keep for the rest. Each page shows the rows that placed it, so you can check the call.

The audit reads Search Console, so it costs nothing on your provider keys.

The audit spreadsheet problem. Every column, and still no next step.

Forty columns, no verdict

The export has clicks, impressions, word count and backlinks for every URL. It does not say which page to open on Monday.

Rules nobody wrote down

One person prunes under 10 clicks, another under 50. Next quarter the audit gives different answers on the same data.

Out of date before it is done

A manual audit takes a week. By the time the last tab is filled in, the first tab describes last month.

The rules, written down. Seven buckets, checked in order.

Every page with Search Console data in the last 90 days lands in exactly one bucket. The first rule a page meets wins, so a page with no clicks is a Prune page before anything else is read.

The content audit buckets, in the order SerpDad checks them. The first five are pages to act on.
BucketRuleNext step
Prune No clicks in 90 days Merge
Decay Clicks down more than 25%, from at least 100 clicks before Refresh
Quick win Average position 4 to 10, with impressions rising Optimize
Striking distance Average position 11 to 20 Optimize
Rework At least 100 impressions, with fewer than 0.5% of them clicked Optimize
Monitor Clicks moved 10% or more, or the position moved more than 3 places or 8% None yet
Keep Steady None

With 12 or more months of data, a seasonal guard sends a dip that matches the same weeks last year to Monitor, not Decay.

How it works. Connect, sort, act, export.

  1. Connect Search Console

SerpDad reads 90 days on the first sync, then syncs each night. That data is all the audit needs.

  2. Let the rules sort the pages

Each page's last 28 synced days are compared with the 28 before, then checked against the rules in order.

  3. Open a page and see why

Every page shows the Search Console rows that placed it. A Decay row opens the old SERP next to today's.

  4. Export the lot

Lists show up to 150 rows. Export downloads every row for your own sheet or a client deck.

What it won't do. It never deletes, redirects or rewrites a page on its own.

A Prune verdict is a suggestion to merge, not a delete button. SerpDad never edits, redirects or removes a page on your site. A person decides, and a person does it.

The audit also makes no promise about what happens after the fix. It tells you which pages meet which rule today. Whether a refreshed page earns more clicks is something you measure afterwards, and SerpDad never claims it caused a ranking.

What does the SerpDad content audit need?

Search Console, connected read-only. The audit compares each page's last 28 synced days with the 28 days before, for every page with data in the last 90 days.

What are the buckets?

Prune, Decay, Quick win, Striking distance and Rework are the pages to act on. Monitor and Keep hold pages that moved a little or held steady. Each page lands in exactly one bucket.

Why is a page in Prune and not Decay?

Buckets are checked in order, starting with Prune. A page with no clicks in 90 days is a Prune page before any other rule is read.

Can I export the audit?

Yes. Lists show up to 150 rows in the app. Export downloads every row.

Does the audit crawl my site?

No. It reads Search Console. The separate Site pages crawl runs on your own DataForSEO key, up to 10,000 pages, with an estimate before it starts.

Will fixing these pages raise my rankings?

We cannot promise that, and SerpDad never claims it caused a ranking. The audit tells you which pages to look at first and the rule that put them there.
