Product / Plan / Review queue

The SerpDad review queue: only real ties reach a person.

SerpDad settles every call the search results can settle. The review queue holds the rest: one list of decisions where the evidence points two ways, each with the facts for every answer, the stakes in searches a month, and what your answer changes.

The plan is usable while calls are open. Nothing waits on you.

Two ways to get this wrong. Ask about everything, or ask about nothing.

A tool that asks about everything

Every grouping comes back for approval. After the first 200, people click accept on the rest without reading, and the review means nothing.

A tool that asks about nothing

Every tie gets broken silently. The plan looks confident, and the keyword that sat right on the line lands wherever the algorithm rolled it.

From our own run. 1,797 keywords, 64 real ties.

Our run on serpdad.com sent 295 calls to the queue. Only 64 were the hard kind: a keyword whose top 10 overlapped two pages equally. Everything else on the 791-page plan was settled from the SERP, with a receipt.

How a call works. Read, decide, move on.

  1. Read the card

Each card shows the question, what your answer changes, a stakes pill and what Google shows for the keyword. SerpDad's pick says why it was picked. The others say when to choose them instead.

  2. Open the evidence if you need it

See evidence shows the full top 10, marked by which answer each result supports. Press O to open the receipt.

  3. Answer, or skip

Press 1 for SerpDad's pick or 2 for the alternative, then J for the next card. Skipping keeps SerpDad's pick where it has one.

  4. Your answer sticks

Each answer records who answered and when, and holds on every later run. An answer that changes what a page is queues a brief rebuild.

Stakes on every card. Start with the calls that move traffic.

Every card carries a stakes pill, based on the searches a month the call moves. With 295 calls in a queue, the order you answer them in matters. Clear the Changes traffic cards first and leave the Low stakes ones for a quiet afternoon.

If you trust the defaults, Accept SerpDad's pick for all settles everything that has a pick in one go. The button shows how many calls it will settle before you press it.

What it won't do. It never breaks a real tie for you.

When two answers have equal evidence, SerpDad shows its pick and the reason, then waits. It does not flip a coin and hide the result. Small calls are a different matter: a keyword under 50 searches a month or a page shape where the top 10 clearly leans one way is settled for you.

Those settled calls are not hidden either. They sit in What SerpDad settled, each with its receipt, so you can check the ones it decided without you.

What reaches the review queue?

Only calls the search results cannot settle: a keyword whose top 10 overlaps two pages equally, a SERP split between formats, a page that only just differs from its neighbours, and a few calls about pins, titles, your own URLs and signed articles.

How many calls should I expect?

It depends on the keywords. On serpdad.com, 1,797 keywords produced 295 calls: 146 own page, 85 page shape and 64 which page.

Does the run wait for my answers?

No. Each keyword stays where SerpDad suggested until you answer, and the plan is usable while calls are open.

Which small calls does SerpDad settle itself?

By default, a keyword placement under 50 searches a month, a page shape when the top 10 clearly leans one way, and small page title calls. Each one keeps a receipt in What SerpDad settled.

Do my answers survive a re-run?

Yes. Each answer records who answered and when, and holds on every later run. If the evidence later turns against it, the call comes back to the queue.

Who can answer calls?

Owners, Admins and Managers answer plan calls. Editors can also answer signed article calls. Writers can read the queue but not answer.
