Workflows / Templates
SEO workflow templates. Twelve ready-made jobs you can open and change.
SerpDad's workflow templates are SEO workflows someone already wired up: plan a keyword list, re-run it monthly, split it by site type, write signed drafts, check AI visibility and report to clients. Use template copies one into your workspace as a draft. Every template asks before it spends and never publishes.
Templates come with the plan. Runs cost provider fees on your own keys.
How a template works. Copy, change, publish, approve.
Use template
SerpDad copies the template into your workspace as a draft. Nothing runs yet, and the original stays as it was.
Change what you need
Open the draft in the visual editor. Swap a filter word, change the schedule, raise the number of briefs or add a Slack message.
Publish a version
Only a published version runs, and old versions never change. You can restore any of them as a draft later.
Approve the spend
A run started by hand shows its estimate and waits for Approve run. A scheduled run needs a standing approval from an Owner or Admin, up to a per-run ceiling.
Plan the pages. Start here.
Keyword pile to page plan
The default on every project. Import a keyword list, fetch the top 10, group keywords that share results, route around your pages and brief the top 5.
Monthly re-run
On the 1st of each month, re-plans the stored keywords, emails whoever has decisions waiting and saves the plan as a CSV.
Plan for your kind of site. Same engine, different filters.
E-commerce category pages
Drops question and guide keywords, briefs the list and landing pages, and gives the blog team the rest as a CSV.
Local service areas
Keeps the pages that name a place you serve, with a stricter shared-results line, and briefs up to 25 of them.
SaaS docs and use cases
Splits the plan into how-to pages for the docs and use case pages for the site, with two sets of briefs.
Affiliate comparison pages
Keeps best, vs, review and alternative pages, briefs the top comparison and list pages, and waits for an Admin to approve them.
Write the pages. Drafts a person signs. Never published.
Keyword pile to signed articles
From keywords to briefs to drafts. Every sentence is verified, and each article waits for a named sign-off before export.
Keyword pile to WordPress drafts
The signed-articles workflow, ending as draft posts in WordPress. Someone with publish rights reviews them there.
Approved outline to finished article
Approve an outline and SerpDad drafts from the pages it came from, removes what no source supports and stages a draft.
Measure and maintain. The jobs that repeat.
Weekly AI visibility
Each Monday, reads AI Overview citations from SERPs already fetched and checks the top 50 focus keywords in AI Mode. Google only.
Agency monthly client report
Each month, re-plans the stored keywords, reads Search Console and builds the client report. Your agency checks and sends it.
Publisher: find decaying posts
Each month, finds posts that lost over 25% of at least 100 clicks and emails Managers a list. No provider cost.

What no template does. Spend unseen, or publish.
It asks before it spends
Every spending block shows an estimate, your DataForSEO balance and your monthly cap after the run. Nothing spends without an approval.
It never publishes
No block can publish to any site. The furthest a template goes is a draft in WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or Google Docs, or a file.
It keeps receipts
Each step stores its inputs, outputs, evidence, provider, model, estimate, actual cost and timings. Failed steps can be retried, with the extra cost shown first.
Looking for a document? Those live in Templates.
These are workflow templates: jobs that run inside SerpDad. If you want a file to fill in by hand, such as a content brief, a keyword map, a content audit or a monthly report, see the free SEO templates. No sign-up needed.

What happens when I select Use template?
SerpDad copies the template into your workspace as a draft. Nothing runs until you publish a version and start a run, and you can change any block first.
Do workflow templates cost extra?
No. They come with the plan. A run only costs provider fees on your own DataForSEO and AI provider keys, and every spending block shows an estimate before anything is fetched.
Can a scheduled template run while nobody is watching?
Only if an Owner or Admin grants a standing approval for that published version, up to a per-run ceiling ($10.00 by default). A run above the ceiling waits and emails approvers.
Can a template publish to my site?
No. No block can publish to any site. The furthest a template goes is a draft in WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or Google Docs, or a file, for a person to review.
Who can use templates?
Owners, Admins and Managers can create, edit, publish and run workflows. Everyone in the workspace can view workflows and their runs.
