Workflows / Templates / Approved outline to finished article

The approved outline to finished article template: with one approval in it.

This outline to article workflow starts when a person approves a page's outline. SerpDad writes the article from the pages the outline came from, confirms every claim against them, rewrites it in your voice, formats it, places internal links, adds images and saves it in WordPress as a draft.

Every template asks before it spends and never publishes.

Who it is for, and what starts a run.

Who it is for

Every project. It is the default content workflow, added on the project's first approved outline.

Use it when the outline is the part you want to judge, and you would rather not click through each step after it.

What starts it

Outline approved. On the plan, a person selects Review outlines, edits any heading, then approves the outline or skips the page.

That approval counts as the human approval of the article, so this workflow has no separate sign-off step.

The blocks, in the order they run.

Each block is a step you can open in the editor. Every step keeps a receipt: inputs, outputs, evidence, provider, cost and timings.

  1. Draft

Writes the article from the approved outline and the ranking pages it came from, on your AI key.

  2. Fact check

Matches every claim to those pages. A claim a page supports gets that page as its citation; a sentence no page supports is removed and listed in the receipt.

  3. Tone

Rewrites the checked draft in your voice. Facts never change, and a rewrite that drifts from its sources keeps the checked wording.

  4. Format

Lays out headings, short paragraphs, lists, numbered steps and tables. No sentence changes.

  5. Plan internal links

Places links where the anchor reads naturally, and plans links for pages that have none yet.

  6. Image maker

Makes a header image and 2 section images from the article's own words, with alt text and a caption.

  7. Screenshot taker

Takes up to 2 screenshots of the pages the article cites.

  8. Stage WordPress draft

Saves the article in WordPress as a draft post. With no WordPress connection, it finishes ready to copy or download.

Fact check removes what it cannot confirm. Verify, in the signed articles templates, only flags. In this path the outline approval is the human approval, so no Sign-off step sits above the WordPress draft.

Before it spends, it asks.

Approvals

Approving the outline approves the article and the run's estimate on your keys. Nothing runs before that click.

If the run cannot start, for example because of the spend cap or a missing key, it waits and the article page says why.

What it costs

Draft, Fact check and Tone use your AI key; Tone uses your Spiral key instead when the voice pass is on. Images use your OpenRouter key.

Format, internal links, screenshots and staging cost nothing.

What you get when the run finishes.

  • One finished article per approved outline, every claim tied to a ranking page.
  • A receipt listing each sentence Fact check removed.
  • Images and screenshots with alt text.
  • A WordPress draft post, or an article ready to copy or download.

No workflow can publish to a site. Drafts and tasks wait for a person. Spending waits for an approval, and every run checks your monthly cap first.
