Workflows / Templates / Affiliate comparison pages
The affiliate comparison pages template: picked from your keywords and briefed.
This workflow template finds the affiliate comparison pages in a keyword list: the best, vs, review and alternative pages. It plans the whole list, keeps the comparison and list pages, writes briefs for the top 15 and waits for an Admin before anything is exported.
Every template asks before it spends and never publishes.
Who it is for, and what starts a run.
Who it is for
Affiliate sites and the agencies that run them. Most of the money on an affiliate site sits on a few page types: best of lists, head to head comparisons, reviews and alternatives.
Use it when you have a big keyword export and want the commercial pages out of it first, without hand sorting thousands of rows.
What starts it
Manual. A person presses Run and uploads a keyword file or pastes a list.
At Use template you can swap the file for Keywords from Ahrefs, which pulls the keywords on your own Ahrefs key instead.
The affiliate comparison workflow, block by block.
Each block is a step you can open in the editor. Every step keeps a receipt: inputs, outputs, evidence, provider, cost and timings.
Import keywords
Adds the keywords from the file or paste to the project. Empty rows and lone symbols are skipped.
Engine group
Fetch SERPs, Search volume, Cluster by SERP overlap, Score scope and format, Route around owned pages, Park weak pages and Labs secondary keywords, always in that order. The whole list is planned, so every page has its place before anything is filtered.
Filter
Keeps the pages whose focus keyword contains best, vs, review, alternative, top or compare. The receipt shows the counts in and out.
If/else
Sends comparison and list pages down the Is true branch. Other formats stop here; they stay in the plan for later.
Generate brief
Writes briefs for the top 15 of those pages by volume, built from each page's own top 10 with sourced facts.
Approval
Waits for an Owner or Admin to approve the brief list. If nobody approves within 7 days, the run stops.
Plan internal links
Adds a link plan to each brief: which related pages to link, the anchor and why.
Export Markdown or HTML
Exports the approved briefs as Markdown with the receipts appendix.
The filter words are a starting point. Add your niche's own words, such as cheap or for beginners, or change the top 15 in Generate brief before you publish the workflow.
Before it spends, it asks.
Approvals
The run asks first: Approve run shows one line per spending block before anything is fetched. A Manager above the owner approval line sees Request approval instead.
Then the Approval block holds the briefs for an Owner or Admin. Nothing is exported until one of them approves.
What it costs
SERPs and search volume on your DataForSEO key, and the 15 briefs on your AI key. SERPs fetched recently are reused from cache at no cost.
For scale: our own run of 1,797 keywords cost $13.10 in provider fees, of which briefs were $0.18.
What you get when the run finishes.
- A full page plan for the keyword list, with every grouping decision and its receipt.
- Up to 15 briefs for comparison and list pages, approved by a named Owner or Admin.
- An internal link plan inside each brief.
- A Markdown export of the briefs with the receipts appendix.
No workflow can publish to a site. Drafts and tasks wait for a person. Spending waits for an approval, and every run checks your monthly cap first.
